Why This Change?
Problem Identified (Fresh Claude Review #2):
"Five different session start documents with overlapping but not identical guidance. Unclear which is authoritative. Claude instances may read different versions and get inconsistent instructions."
Solution:
- ONE authoritative document:
/SESSION-HANDOFF-PROTOCOL.md - Clear header stating it's authoritative
- All other session docs archived
- DOCUMENT-INDEX updated to reference only authoritative source
What to Do If You Find References
If you encounter references to deprecated session docs:
- Update reference to point to
/SESSION-HANDOFF-PROTOCOL.md - Note the location of the outdated reference
- Update documentation to use authoritative source
Archive Location
Deprecated documents moved to: docs/archive/deprecated-session-docs/
Original files preserved for historical reference but clearly marked as obsolete.
