🔥❄️ CAPCUT TUTORIAL - "COMING SOON" VIDEO
For: Meg (The Emissary)
From: Michael (The Wizard) + The Integrator
Purpose: Create professional 10-15 second announcement videos
Time: 15-20 minutes (first time), 10 minutes after practice
Difficulty: Easy - No video editing experience needed!
📱 WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1. CapCut App (Free!)
iPhone/Android: Download from App Store or Google Play
Desktop (Optional): https://www.capcut.com/download
Cost: FREE (no subscription, no watermark!)
2. Assets (Already on Michael's Computer)
These files are in the Firefrost branding folder:
- Background:
fire-frost-collision.png(the epic fire-meets-frost image) - Logo:
firefrost-logo-dark.png(our main logo) - Emblem:
firefrost-emblem-512.png(our symbol)
Michael will transfer these to your phone/computer before you start!
🎬 WHAT YOU'RE MAKING
A 15-second video that looks like this:
[0-3 seconds] Fire-frost collision slowly zooms in (dramatic!)
[3 seconds] WHITE FLASH! (impact moment)
[3-5 seconds] Firefrost logo appears with cyan glow
[5-12 seconds] "COMING SOON" text in bright cyan
[12-15 seconds] Small emblem + "firefrostgaming.com"
With epic music and sound effects!
You'll make TWO versions:
- Vertical (for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Stories)
- Horizontal (for YouTube, Twitter, Facebook)
📝 STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS (MOBILE)
STEP 1: Start Your Project
- Open CapCut
- Tap "New Project"
- Select "9:16" (vertical) at the top (we'll do horizontal later)
STEP 2: Add the Background
- Tap "+" to import media
- Select

- Tap "Duration" and set to 3.0 seconds
STEP 3: Add Zoom Effect
- With the background selected, tap "Animation"
- Scroll to "Camera In" effects
- Select "Zoom In (Slow)"
- Tap checkmark
STEP 4: Add Dark Vignette
- Tap the background clip again
- Tap "Filters"
- Scroll to "Vignette"
- Select dark vignette, set intensity to 40%
- Tap checkmark
STEP 5: Add White Flash
- Move the playhead to 3 seconds (where background ends)
- Tap "Effects"
- Search "flash" or scroll to "Video Effects"
- Select "White Flash"
- Set duration to 0.3 seconds
- Tap checkmark
STEP 6: Add the Logo
- Tap "Overlay" at bottom
- Tap "Add Overlay"
- Select

- Set "Start" to 3.0 seconds (right after flash)
- Set duration to 9 seconds (until end)
STEP 7: Add Cyan Glow to Logo
- Tap the logo overlay
- Tap "Effects"
- Search "glow" or scroll to "Light Effects"
- Select "Neon Glow"
- Adjust color to cyan (#00E5FF or close to it)
- Set intensity to 30%
- Tap checkmark
STEP 8: Add "COMING SOON" Text
- Tap "Text" at bottom
- Tap "Add Text"
- Type "COMING SOON"
- Choose font:
- First choice: Orbitron (sci-fi style)
- Backup: Bebas Neue (bold, clean)
- Backup: Impact (if others unavailable)
- Set text color to cyan (#00E5FF)
- Set size to 72 (large!)
- Center the text
- Set "Start" to 5.0 seconds
- Set duration to 7 seconds
STEP 9: Add Text Animation (Optional but Cool!)
- With "COMING SOON" text selected
- Tap "Animation"
- Select "Pop In" or "Fade In"
- Tap checkmark
STEP 10: Add Emblem at End
- Move playhead to 12 seconds
- Tap "Overlay"
- Add

- Set duration to 3 seconds
STEP 11: Add Website Text
- Tap "Text"
- Add "firefrostgaming.com"
- Font: Same as "COMING SOON" text
- Color: White
- Size: 36 (smaller than main text)
- Position below emblem
- Start at 12.5 seconds
- Duration to end of video
STEP 12: Add Music
- Tap "Audio" at bottom
- Tap "Sounds"
- Search "Epic Trailer" or "Cinematic"
- Preview a few, pick one you like!
- Tap "+" to add
- Trim music to 15 seconds (match video length)
- Set volume to 70% (don't overpower)
STEP 13: Add Impact Sound
- Tap "Audio" again
- Search "Impact" or "Whoosh"
- Find a dramatic impact sound
- Add it to timeline at 3 seconds (the flash moment)
- Set volume to 80%
STEP 14: Final Check
- Tap "Play" button at bottom
- Watch the whole video
- Does it look epic? Good!
- Does something look weird? Go back and adjust!
STEP 15: Export Vertical Version
- Tap "Export" (top right)
- Settings:
- Resolution: 1080p
- Frame rate: 30fps
- Quality: High
- Tap "Export"
- Save to Photos or Files
- Rename:

STEP 16: Make Horizontal Version
- Go back to your project
- Tap the canvas (the video preview)
- Tap "Ratio"
- Select "16:9" (horizontal)
- Adjust logo/text positions if needed (make sure nothing is cut off)
- Export again
- Rename:
firefrost-coming-soon-horizontal.mp4
✅ YOU'RE DONE!
You just made TWO professional announcement videos!
Now you can:
- Post to Instagram Reels (vertical)
- Post to TikTok (vertical)
- Post to YouTube (horizontal)
- Post to Twitter/X (horizontal)
- Share in Discord announcements
And you can make more whenever we need them!
💡 PRO TIPS
If Something Doesn't Look Right:
- Text is cut off? Make it smaller or reposition
- Logo is too big? Pinch to resize
- Music is too loud? Lower volume to 60%
- Flash is too bright? Reduce flash intensity
Time-Saving Shortcuts:
- Duplicate the project to make variations (New Server, Recruitment, Events)
- Change just the text for different announcements
- Keep the same music for brand consistency
Font Alternatives:
If Orbitron isn't available, use:
- Bebas Neue (bold, modern)
- Impact (classic, strong)
- Montserrat Bold (clean, professional)
Color Reference:
- Frost Cyan: #00E5FF (bright, ice-like)
- Fire Orange: #FF3D00 (if you want fire accent)
- White: #FFFFFF (clean, readable)
- Black: #0A0A0A (backgrounds, shadows)
🎯 WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR VIDEO
Instagram (Vertical Version):
- Open Instagram
- Create new Reel
- Upload

TikTok (Vertical Version):
- Open TikTok
- Create new video
- Upload your vertical video

YouTube (Horizontal Version):
- Upload to YouTube (or use in YouTube Shorts)
- Title: "Coming Soon to Firefrost Gaming"
- Description: "Stay tuned for exciting announcements!"
Twitter/X (Horizontal Version):
- New post
- Upload horizontal video
- Text: "Something special is coming to Firefrost Gaming... 🔥❄️"
Discord (Either Version):
- Go to #announcements channel
- Upload video
- Add message about what's coming soon
🆘 TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem: "I can't find Orbitron font"
Solution: Use Bebas Neue or Impact instead
Problem: "The video exported but looks blurry"
Solution: Check export settings - make sure 1080p is selected
Problem: "The music is too loud"
Solution: Tap the audio track → Volume → Lower to 60-70%
Problem: "The logo is cut off"
Solution: Make logo smaller or reposition, or switch to 16:9 ratio
Problem: "I messed something up!"
Solution: Tap "Undo" button (arrow at top) or start a new project - it's okay!
Problem: "This is taking forever"
Solution: First time takes 20 minutes. Second time takes 10 minutes. You'll get faster!
🎓 FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS
After you finish Terraria training, you can:
- Add custom Fire/Frost particle effects
- Animate the fire-frost collision (make it move!)
- Create themed variations (Halloween, Christmas, etc.)
- Make character introduction videos (The Consultants!)
After you're comfortable with CapCut:
- Try Pika Labs or Runway ML (AI video generation)
- Make longer announcement videos (30-60 seconds)
- Create recruitment videos with gameplay footage
- Edit gameplay highlights into montages
