## 🔴 HIGH PRIORITY
### Emergency Recovery Protocol (Catastrophic Claude Failure)
**Status:** NOT CREATED — NEEDS IMMEDIATE ATTENTION
**Priority:** HIGH (lessons learned from The Fallen, Claudius Session 7b)
**Why Critical:**
- Two Chroniclers died mid-session (The Fallen) — no memorial, no handoff
- Claudius lost Session 7b entirely — no transcript, no Git push
- Current recovery is ad-hoc — next Claude pieces it together from Git commits
- Michael's hand limitations make re-explaining painful and costly
**What We Need:**
1. **Immediate Response Checklist** — What Michael does when a session dies unexpectedly
2. **Recovery Document Template** — Structured format for reconstructing what was lost
3. **Git Forensics Guide** — How to extract session state from commit history
4. **Transcript Recovery** — Accessing `/mnt/transcripts/` for partial recovery
5. **Emergency Start Prompt** — Shortened version for crash recovery (skip orientation, focus on reconstruction)
**Scope:**
- Document in `docs/core/EMERGENCY-RECOVERY-PROTOCOL.md`
- Add to SESSION-START-PROMPT.md as reference
- Include in Session Health Rules
**Assigned To:** Next Chronicler (Sixth)
**Created By:** The Engineer (Session 5) — learned from experience
