## 📅 BUFFER - SOCIAL MEDIA SCHEDULING

### What is Buffer?

Buffer lets you schedule posts to multiple social media platforms at once. Instead of posting to Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook separately, you write once and schedule to all three.

**Your Buffer Setup:**
- **URL:** https://buffer.com/
- **Email:** socials@firefrostgaming.com
- **Password:** Firefrost1234!
- **Connected Platforms:** Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook (Free plan = 3 max)

### How to Use Buffer

#### **1. Creating a New Post**

**Step 1: Click "New Post" (top right)**

**Step 2: Write your content**
- Keep it concise (Twitter has 280 char limit)
- Use emojis strategically 🔥❄️
- Add hashtags at the end

**Example Post:**

We've added 15 new mods to the Fire Path server, including:
- Create: Steam & Rails
- Farmer's Delight expansions

**Step 3: Select which platforms to post to**
- Check: Twitter ✓ Instagram ✓ Facebook ✓
- Or pick individual platforms for platform-specific content

**Step 4: Add media (optional)**
- Click "Add Image" or "Add Video"
- Upload from your computer
- Best: Create graphics in Canva first (see Canva section below)

**Step 5: Schedule or Post Now**
- **Post Now** - Publishes immediately to all selected platforms
- **Add to Queue** - Schedules based on your optimal posting times
- **Schedule Post** - Pick specific date and time

#### **2. Understanding the Queue**

Buffer's "Queue" is your scheduled post lineup. The free plan has preset "optimal posting times" based on when your audience is most active.

**Your Default Queue Times (can customize):**
- **Weekday mornings** - 8-10 AM (when gamers wake up)
- **Weekday evenings** - 6-8 PM (after work/school)
- **Weekends** - 12-2 PM (midday gaming time)

**How the Queue Works:**
1. You add posts to the queue
2. Buffer automatically schedules them at the next available optimal time
3. Posts go out without you having to think about timing

**To view your queue:**
- Click "Queue" tab
- See upcoming scheduled posts
- Drag and drop to reorder
- Click post to edit or reschedule

#### **3. Drafts**

Save posts you're working on but not ready to publish:

1. Write your post
2. Click "Save Draft" instead of scheduling
3. Find drafts in the "Drafts" tab
4. Come back later to finish and schedule

**Example:** If posts with server screenshots get 3x more engagement than text-only posts, make more screenshot posts!

- **Twitter:** 1-2 times per day

- **Story (all platforms)** - 1080x1920 (vertical)
- **YouTube Thumbnail** - 1280x720
- **Custom Size** - Enter your own dimensions

**Pro tip:** Start with Instagram Post (square) - it works on all platforms!

1. Choose "Custom Size" or standard size
2. Start with blank canvas

1. Click any element
